In Burla, the university has nearly 300 acres of outstanding property. The campus stands in Burla, in the middle of Odisha. The University is committed to providing students with the best learning environment and cutting-edge facilities for professional development.

VSSUT is continually reorganising and modernising its infrastructure and research and education facilities to keep up with modern advances. Students on the Campus have access to laboratories from several departments and central facilities such as the Computer Centre, Library, Internet Centre, workshop and separate dorms for boys and girls, conference halls, recreational amenities, and other utility services. The university's infrastructure supports all indoor and outdoor games.

• Central Library: The new library is a three-story structure with a total space of 10,900 square feet. The library has been divided into separate floors. The Circulation Section and the General Book Bank are on the ground floor. The Library's Journal, Reference, Reprographic, and Administrative Section are on the first level. The TextBook Section is located on the upper floor. On this floor, there is a reading hall that can accomodate100 students. 

The Library has around 70,000 volumes, including photostat and microfilms, in its collection. Engineering disciplines account for over 70% of the total collection, with Science, Humanities, and General reference types accounting for 30%. For reading microfilms, the library contains one microfilm reader. With financial help from the All India Council of Technical Education, VSSUT University has joined the Indian National Digital Library in Engineering Science and Technology. As a result, all Library members get online access to the journals of ASCE, ASME, and IEL. The Library has twenty-seven (27) national journals on its shelves.

• Central Research Facility: The Central Research Facility (CRF) was founded in 2015 and provided a scientific platform for research by bringing together state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technologies in one location. The CRF aims to bring superior science and technological research together under one roof, encourage multidisciplinary research, and serve as a consultant to other academic institutions and businesses.

The CRF comprises a HITACHI SU3500 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) that is utilised to characterise the surface of various solid samples. Surface morphology can be observed at the micron/nanoscale with the equipment, including secondary electron (SE) and backscattered electron (BSE) detectors.

The SEM is linked to an Oxford INCA x-act model Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) system and is used for elemental analysis, line scanning, and mapping the sample's components.

• Central Workshop: Central Workshop at the University is one of the institute's fundamental units, teaching all first-year students conceptually "how" a product comes to its current shape through core manufacturing instruction. It also offers product production assistance to the entire institute community, mainly undergraduate students.

In the Central Workshop, about 1000 first-year undergraduate students gain hands-on manufacturing experience. The Central Workshop not only teaches the art and science of manufacturing but also instils confidence in future product design and production endeavours.

Undergraduate students get hands-on training in different workshop sections, such as welding, carpentry, fitting, smithy, foundry, machine shop, turning/lathe shop, and CNC shop, by doing their work and completing projects as part of their coursework. Students also use the facilities for the fabrication purposes of their academic projects. It also supports many institution projects managed by various faculty members and research scholars' PhD and M.Tech thesis work by assisting them in manufacturing their research setups.

• Central Computer: In 1987, they constructed the University's Central Computer Facility. From time to time, the facilities have been updated and expanded. Based on current demands, software such as JAVA, ORACLE, Visual Studio, and others have been made available for students' benefit. There are additional options for using Basic, Fortran 77, Pascal, C & C++, and Foxpro in different operating systems like Windows, DOS, Unix, and Linux.
• Internet Facility: With the help of the All India Council for Technical Education in New Delhi, pupils were given access to the internet with e-mail and browser capabilities. Currently, this facility provides 64kbps broadband VSAT access and in-house Linux-based networking to meet the needs of students and faculty. It assists students in taking numerous online tests for jobs, finding research papers for their project work/thesis, and so on.
• Central Transport Facility: The university constantly strives to achieve new heights by synergising studies, research, and consulting/training activities.

The university has a full-fledged transportation department that provides free transportation to students and employees during industrial study excursions, survey work, and university functions. This service ensures that transport is convenient and safe; in emergencies, the University now has two air-conditioned automobiles and one ambulance given by the University Alumni Association.

• Guest Houses: VSSUT Burla has a guest house. It is situated within the university grounds. The guests, faculty, and staff members who visit the university for numerous conferences, seminars, symposia, and workshops stay at the guesthouse.

The guest house has a total of 20 rooms and four suites. Every room is air-conditioned. The rooms include modern conveniences and adjoining bathrooms. The guesthouse also has a kitchen and a dining room.

• Hall of residence: There are six halls of living for boys on the VSSUT campus, which can house roughly 1000 students in two, three, or four-bedded dormitories, and six halls of residence for girls can accommodate 600 students. Students are encouraged to establish communal life and instil a sense of tolerance, addressing their psychological and emotional issues and moulding themselves into better citizens.

The vegetarian and non-vegetarian dining rooms at the Halls are well-kept and offer wholesome, nutritional meals.

• Medical Facilities: VIMSAR Medical College and Hospital (Established in 1959 by the Odisha State Government) is a prominent medical institute located 1km from the university. On the other hand, the university has its dispensary with the following amenities:

The Government of Odisha has delegated one doctor (MBBS) to the university Dispensary. The dispensary is located on the Hall of Residence campus to benefit borders.

One pharmacist and one attendant are assigned to the dispensary's daily operations.

First aid and essential medical services are available at the university dispensary.

The dispensary has over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, a bed to rest in, medical equipment, physical screening instruments, emergency services such as oxygen and nebulisers and arrangements for minor surgical equipment.

All students in the isolation ward receive free medicine and treatment.

Moreover, the university has a canteen that provides hygienic food. There is a student council at VSSUT.
